Operation steps:
1. Use tools to cut a cross grid pattern on the coating, with the cut extending all the way to the substrate;
2. Brush diagonally five times with a brush, apply tape to the cut and pull it apart;
3. Use an illuminated magnifying glass to inspect the grid area;
4. According to the grading criteria based on the grid results (ISO grade 0-5/ASTM grade 5B-0B)
The standard specifies the spacing between two teeth：
The thickness of the paint film is less than 60 μ m (2 mils), and the spacing between the cutting teeth is 1mm
The thickness of the paint film reaches 120 μ m (5 miles), and the distance between the cutting teeth is 2mm
The thickness of the paint film exceeds 120 μ m (5 mils), and the spacing between the cutting teeth is 3mm
